In a gamble, I bought this volume controller from Amazon Japan and ended up with the same (wrong) potentiometer as everyone else: the thread ends just below the top of the panel and the nut is not usable.
Other potential candidates:
I may try and order the last one; since it is deeper than the others, I am hopeful it would do the trick, but there is no way to be sure without potentially wasting yet another $20.
Would anyone be willing to give it a try, for science?
Worst case scenario, I guess one should be able to secure the potentiometer to the panel with superglue or tape from below.

i have the Nobsound Mini Active Volume Controller bought it over a year ago. It won't work. The threading is too short.

My bad I gave off the impression that it works. Sadly it doesnt.
@brisketnbulgogi glued the nut to the panel. Im sure hot glue would do the trick too.

The panel looks amazing! Really professional looking. My thread on the volume knob was also short. Here’s what I ended up doing..
Epoxy a small plexi to top of the knob. I shaved it down to get it as flat as possible.
I then mounted that plexi to the bottom of the panel and used hot glue to adhere them together. I used hot glue here because it’s easily removable if I ever need to.

That’s a great idea.
What I did for now is stick some double-sided tape on the volume controller front panel, remove the nut from the potentiometer, and simply stick the controller to the aux panel from the botttom.
Now the next problem is that the actuator is too small to fit into the volume knob, but it’s easier to solve with everyday items.

I believe I used the M4 bolt in this kit. I slowly countersunk the holes by hand to make sure I removed just the perfect amount of material off panel for it to sit flush.

Alright guys, i think i found a fix for this.
went to my local hardware store, looked through every piece of hardware, and narrowed it down to this rubber grommet.
It fits snug between the stem and panel. Might take a bit of work to get it in just right but it works.
