Just want to have this confirmed please:

I have a US Mobo and a Raiden Fighters 2 Cart i dont know what region it is.
When trying to install,it shows the "checksum error" in japanese.
So the cart is likely a japanese version and i will need a jap mobo,right?

I know this thread,but i dont have access to a eprom reader/writer nor have the skills and patience for this.

I just wanted to know if i can determine that the cart is japanese when the checksum error message appears in japanese.
 
You could ask someone here to help you to burn a modified rom that makes the cartridge accept any motherboard. All you need is 1 eprom with a change of 1 byte...
 
you can either have different Region ROMs burned for your cart, or the Revive ROMs burned to change the mobo region (or both!)... so you just need to decide what region you want everything.

as others have suggested I would see if you could find someone in Germany or Europe who can burn the ROMs for you, or use Buyicnow.com.

they're socketed on the Cart so the only tool you'd need is a screwdriver to remove the cart cover and something to pop out the ROMs.
