maybe, if I recall CV1K B includes an RTC where it also stores high-scores and settings (hence the coin cell battery on B boards) CV1K D has more memory but dropped the RTC and stores settings on the Flash ROM itself. so it really comes down to if B games are ok with the RTC not being present...

it could just be the lighting but it looks like every one of those capacitors has a cold solder joint, I would start with reflowing them with higher heat.

nope that is for the single pcb version. the dip banks are right there next to the audio heat-sync

there's a dip switch to put it in test mode. Dip 8 on SW bank 1 according to mame it's a proper test mode, no settings to change. all of the settings are adjusted by dip switches.

Good point! I don't know enough about Jaleco cabs to know if any of them have an internal board with matching connectors for hooking this up.

On Batman Forever JAMMA button 1 is not used and the 3 buttons that the game DOES use are mapped to JAMMA buttons 2, 3, and 4, so you essentially have to shift them all over by 1 on the JAMMA edge. It's documented on pages 23 and 24 of the manual...
