What's new

Bottom side perfect.

Top edge, slight, SLIGHT, gap. HOWEVER, my real OEM CP has a bigger gap on all 4 sides, so this panel is actually TIGHTER than the real deal. This tiny top gap can easily be mitigated by sliding the panel slightly up before you tighten down. Seriously, it's as good as can be possibly done with a CP! It looks great!

Like I just said, it looks freaking great!

If you haven't seen the bottom of these compared to an OEM CP, they are missing the little metal tabs on the OEM ones.

And the joystick bases are welded on instead of screwed on.

But none of that matters, it sits great and fits great. Again, the fit is TIGHTER and BETTER than my Egret II OEM CP, so this is fantastic and a win in my book.

Now, I just need to convince the wife I need an Astro version and I'll be buying a second one!

By the way, our cats recently crossed the rainbow bridge so I was checking out pound kitties and found this orange one and got him for Halloween, but the pound said Halloween colors are orange and black, so I was forced to take them both. 12 weeks old and not named yet, but we are leaning towards Jackson (black) and River (black) from a show we like.

The wife is open to video game names though, so if you have any ideas, let me know after you post about how cool the panel is!
Thanks for the fit checks and comments! Appreciate it.

I'll take full blame for the packing, this is not how customers will receive it. Alberto will be shipping with his normal boxes and protective cardboard inserts for the sides. This shipped directly from me and I had to use what was on hand, looks like it arrived safely though. :)

Awesome, then I'll go ahead and edit that out so no one gets the wrong info!

Thanks again, it's so awesome!

I want to make a correction on the confusion around the fit and finish of the Sega panels. The panel we sent to @PASTBLASTER was a straight Sega panel, not a Windy panel. I thought Alberto had made some modification so it would fit the Windy, but that's not the case, it was miscommunication.

I compared the Uo Poko Sega panel to Alberto's standard Sega panel cut and they are identical.

We're working on a true Windy cutout that we could list as a separate product. We will swap with PastBlaster's panel if needed.

Looks like we're good on the Taito version, thanks @XtraSmiley

We'll need another 2 weeks or so before selling.

Yesterday I received one of the very first final production versions of the panel. Super Stoked for this!

The quality of this panel is simply amazing. it genuinely puts the quality of original panels to shame. It's kind of funny because it's clearly a non-original panel simply because if they had made an original panel for this game they wouldn't have put anywhere near this amount of quality and precision into making it.

I'm told that I received the same packaging that will be going out to everyone else and I can tell you it's pretty awesome packing.

since people have asked, here are the packing details.

The Panel is wrapped in heavy bubblewrap with cardboard covers in the center and on the ends

The Box itself is right sized for a panel and thick double walled cardboard

Also the panel itself has a protective plastic film on it to prevent scratches in transport:

This thing is too cute!

I have the Lions III paws, I like them, I did need to do a little bit of flash trimming but over all I like the solidness of them. The yellow paw is a perfect match to the the original yellow paw that they made, it's very pale, almost white; but it's not the right yellow to match the cat. so hopefully a more accurate matched yellow becomes available. It would also be nice to buy some shaft covers in the correct yellow and pink colors to 100% complete the look.

I got screws and clear dust washers with my panel (not sure if this will be the same for everyone) Super happy with this overall though :D

Thanks @twistedsymphony !

These will be live in the next few days.

Outer diameter is great. It clears the circular part of the arm art so the edge of the dust washer doesn't interfere visually. They're quite thick but I think that's fine. Inner diameter is too large for my sticks as mine are bare shaft sanwas. I'll need to order some shaft covers to see how they fit with those.

Yellow and pink shaft covers would be nice.

I'll grab some shaft covers off of another panel to test fitment later today! But yeah, pink and yellow to match is ideal!

EDIT: some quick searching proves that finding pink and yellow shaft covers is actually quite difficult :(
