Nice
There is tooling to rewrite the firmware on these boards to anything but "Magician's Dead", because that was the first game; all subsequent games have the firmware update in the gamedata. We have NOT found a way to dump firmwares OFF the board yet. I'm sure the tooling will not be shared, but it gives proof of concept, and hope that in the future a custom firmware can be written to get more function out of the IO.USBIO is a bit of a pig and not. They're USBHID devices, so they don't require a driver for the hardware to work, but they require a program to communicate with the device. All USBIO boards are not equal. It appears the hardware is equal, but the firmware which is on the FPGA is different for all games. So effectively there's a USBIO specific version per game. The only way you can tell them apart as far as i know, is the sticker on the sd card slot. Which is removed on most of the ones you see. Becuase they all have the exact same part numbers otherwise.
Can I just dump this MP4 in a folder or does the Multi.exe needs to be decompiled or anything, because then I'm out I guess
I'll provide txt versions of all the scripts here. This will allow anyone to recompile the scripts using the tools already on the multi. They are arranged properly in folders, so you can just drag and drop these zips, and the txt files will copy to the correct location. This will make it really easy to remove the nag screens from your favourite games. Thanks
Are you going to post compiled versions?
