After much searching (and an obscene amount of money) I finally acquired a Splatterhouse table pop. I'd been after this piece for a while and got lucky enough to find a new old stock one. I think this is the only item where we see this particular art. Such a cool design.

Beautiful piece. I saw one for sale a few years agon on Yahoo auctions. Can’t remember for how much it went but I always wondered if this pop was part of the PCB arts like Namco did a few ones on System 1…
Thanks for sharing 👍

These System 1 games had POPs:

Splatter House
Marchen Maze
Dragon Spirit
Dangerous Seed
Baraduke 2
Galaga88
Pac Mania
Yokai Douchuuki
Rompers

The ones which didn't have a POP:

Tank Force
Pistol Daimyo
Blazer
Blast Off
Souko Ban

I don't know about the sports games, as I never hunted them.

Thanks for the scan!

Very reminiscent of Gottlieb's haunted house!

the West Mansion calls it a mask from a costume?

A Terror Mask for your Rick Halloween costume! Info on it from Gruesome Rick:

"Okay, the Splatterhouse Mask is by far the most difficult Splatterhouse item to obtain. I have had much trouble getting it and I had to pay a lot of money to own it. It's the perfect collectible novelty item for Splatterhouse fans. I wear the mask whenever I play a Splatterhouse game, it adds great atmosphere and fun to playing the game. The Mask was made shortly after Splatterhouse's arcade debut in Japan. Namco licensed the release of the mask, so it is an official Splatterhouse product. It is called a J-Pop Mask, as in Japanese Popular Culture. Splatterhouse fans in Japan probably got a real kick out of having their own official Terror Masks. I'm glad I could get mine."

What do you call these? Instructions cards?

Those are OK but they have a few scratches and the resolution is not that great however the ones you own seem to be near mint so pretty please at 600/1200 DPI PNG ?

Thanks for the infos Fuzz 👍

By the way, I did not click on the similarities but those illustrations are more than close. Perspective and mostly colors.
Haunted House was famous and popular back then, the backglass remains iconic to this day but it would be funny if only the illustrator had not crossed this machine at the time.

The haunted house theme was a classic 70’s/80’s theme, who knows…

Wow that is an awesome pop. Would just look awesome with Halloween decorations.

Any other Halloween-like arcade games?

I mentioned putting this out for Halloween in our local pinball forum a long time ago and when I did it, a 2nd street neighbour saw it and said "Hey you are Mrhide!?" ... we've been friends and in a pinball league ever since ;)

@Mrhide Very nice, I see some compression artifacts though, would it be possible to share the lossless version in TIF or PNG ?
