Hi guys,
I would like to have your opinion in relation to this little geometry issue of this Sony CTR TV:
The grid shows as the horizontal lines are straight on the left part of the screen and tend to bend upwards on the right part of the screen.
Let’s say the picture curve a little upwards on the right part of the screen.
It is not repairable from the Service Menu.
Any suggestions about what it is and how to fix it? Perhaps a recapping?
Thanks

Using the dots around the edges, it looks like the whole raster is rotated. The yoke needs to be loosened and rotated slightly.

yep, I noticed that and I did that once in the past, but there was still some bending on the right part of the screen... Perhaps I will try again to rotate it...
do you know anything about what could cause this bending?

Sorted!
I tweaked the "Par Tilt" and I manually rotated the yoke (it is a model with no screws to loosen it up).
The electronic was ok overall. I washed the entire TV (it need that) and it seems I got a general improvement after this process.

Looks pretty much perfect, I bought brand new monitors from the factory with worse geometry than that.

I recall the guy at Hantarex saying “ what’s up with that it’s just a little bit out!”

He then put it on the bench and adjusted the yoke a smidge.

Yep, I am very happy about it! ...I had this tv in Italy and I wanted to bring it in Ireland with the purpose to try to fix this geometry issue... I have been dealing with good 14" monitors so far in my game room... finally I can enjoy a 21"! perfect size for me!

...I have always cleaned electronic stuff with isopropyl alcohol, spending lots of time and lot of my health (I use the mask every time but the smell is very strong). I wanted to change this time considering how dusty was inside... Washing a tv is very satisfying :) ...also maybe is the only way to clean properly yoke and neck.
Just a note: I got a blurry picture once I turned it on after this process. So I turned it on and off several times and after a while that the tv was on the picture gradually back more focused and crispy than it was originally.

Here some pictures from my Instagram showing before and after the washing
