Multi F3 - LCD screen issue

Hello,

After a week off, I'm back home and I could start testing the brand new Multi F3

Flash and in-game play works but I have a problem with the LCD display :





The pot seems to be broken as it turns loosely without any effort.

edit : speaking with aganim it seems the pot is missing its upper part.

can it be solved ?

Yeah, it looks like the trimmer pot is missing the knob part. The little post that's left just spins around completely when you try turning that...? To fix it, the old pot would definitely need to be unsoldered and a new one installed.

Hopefully Mitsurugi-W can chime in with more details on everything once he sees this.

Back on this today (was off during holidays...)
With darksoft we agree with each other that it
would be a shame to send the board back in poland for a quite reasonable solder work.

As I thought I had enough skills to achieve the replacement, and also that I had the required tools, I decided to fix it myself.

Darksoft gave me the exact part reference for the pot and I ordered it.

I removed the broken part :



I used this tool and I recommand it :



Once installed and soldered :

This time, it’s time to try it :



Complete success !!

Yes it scrolls so you can read the entire title.
 
And of course, as we decided together, Darksoft refund me for the spare part I bought to fix the board.
Even if the amount was negligible, I really appreciate.
