Interest Check: Pre-made upgraded 161-in-1 multicarts - All spots filled - 2025 UPDATE

All fully paid orders will be out on Friday. Knocked out 5.5 carts today. I've only got two left on the desk that are paid for, so this is very exciting.

Half a dozen or so left that are awaiting payment. All the daughterboards are built and boards are prepped for those, just haven't soldered anything in place. I'll probably pick at these before they get paid.

Aaaand the usual plug:
I have enough parts to make many more carts, but I cannot provide a cart. If you have a v3 161-in-1 and want to get it turned into a Vortex cart, feel free to PM me!

Thank you @GeorgeSpinner

All right. Everyone who has paid has their cart finished.

Tomorrow I need to run around a bit, but I'll give a final test and packing when I get back home, and should be able to drop them all off before the 7PM closing time.

dekay3d's is still in transit, few other people are shipping theirs in soon, waiting on payment on some folks, and @HornheaDD I will poke at yours this weekend since it's a special case. But for the most part I'm going to take a few days off and actually play something, lol.

The OTHER special cases (the 2 C rom boards) I'll look at *next* weekend as they may or may not be involved.

I think that covers everything.

Looks like this cart is going only
One way ^
What on Earth do they intend to do with it at that price, I wonder. The gap between cart cost/labor/parts doing it yourself vs just buying a DS or TO one shrinks with every bid there.

Take your time. you are totally good man. Hell even if the cart was in my hands right now I wouldn't be able to touch it for a while because life's so jampacked with stuff.

Not a big deal _at_all.

Just got done counting, and I have *one* spare MVS cart that works out of the parts bin at the moment. Probably two weeks' turnaround as I had to order P roms to finish it. The daughterboards and S/M roms are already put together.

Rather than get 10 PMs I'm just going to take the first poster here that wants it (and of course also pays for it). $310 shipped in the US, or 290 plus actual international shipping.

Something to consider for MVS to AES Converter using Multis/Vortex Carts
I've had multiple customers ask me if the MVS Vortex cart can be used with an AES adapter (like Furrtek's excellent Fusion converter). Posting the answer here so I can forward customers to a single spot. :)

TLTR; it depends. Try and and see.

Long answer:
- Furrtek does not support multi-carts with his adapter. If it works, great. If it doesn't then nothing can be done about it.
- Not all AES consoles are made the same. Some work with everything you toss at them, some don't work even with stock, unmodified, AES 161-in-1.
- The MVS adapter puts even more power demand on a system that might be already struggling with the 3 FPGAs in the 161-in-1
- The FPGA code on an MVS Vortex cart is different than AES Vortex cart (MVS have extra piracy measures the AES doesn't) So you will see behaviour differences
--> e.g. pressing the reset button on the AES console with an MVS Vortex cart in an adapter will reset the running game. Real AES Vortex cart will kick you back to the game select menu
--> Proof: If you got an MVS Vortex cart in an MVS PCB that automatically goes back to the game select menu with some games, that's because the AES FPGA code was loaded onto the cart by accident and the anti piracy measures in the MVS PCB is being triggered.

On a personal note, while I understand the appeal of AES (I have one and love it) The Neo Geo is an arcade platform. It was modified (not that well) into a home console. Every revision has its quirks. A well made CMVS with a good PSU, in my experience, is a much more stable platform for multi-carts (and cheaper for real cart collectors!)

Eeeeverything is done (except @HornheaDD 's for reasons I cannot explain).

Few more coming in, but for now the bench is cleaned off!

Will ship tomorrow or Sun depending which ends up working out.

Per usual, if you've got a cart you'd like converted, shoot me a PM! Details here:

Due to a change of circumstances, I have ONE MVS cart that is already finished and I can ship on out Sat/Sun along with the others that has become available.

If you're interested and can pay straight away (since I can ship straight away), please post here and I'll PM you. It's $310 shipped in the US, 290 plus actual shipping anywhere else.
