Was pretty late to order so I guess I ll have to wait for quite some time, still. ;(
 
Are there instructions on how to set up a ROM pack for the Multi? I have a pure MAME set ready to go, but I believe it needs to be set up in a specific way for the multi.

I am hosting the Beta pack, this includes:
  • The ROMs testers have been using to verify functionality
  • The latest system Menu (1/21/2018)
  • The latest system Firmware (already in the update directory, if you have the latest firmware you should remove this as the cart will attempt to update again automatically upon seeing the file)
Please take it easy on my small/private FTP...
If you don't yet have the cart please do not download this!
It will be hosted by people with more bandwidth than I very soon.
 
I will post more detailed instructions but in general each game must be in one folder.
Each folder must contain the following files:
crom0
m1rom
prom
srom
vroma0

Each file contains the data that each of these memory region has as they are seen by the neogeo motherboard, which is also the way you can see it in MAME when debugging.

Besides that, each game needs to have a file called fpga which indicates the game configuration/protection.
I'll elaborate on that later.

As @jassin000 pointed out, some games with special fpga configuration, will need an extra file called prom1
 
nobody answered my question ;( .... when is the release of the AES Multi expected :D
