Up for sale is a Sega Blast City arcade cabinet in incredible, near-mint condition, a true grail for collectors and arcade enthusiasts. This home-use-only (HUO) machine was imported directly from Japan and has likely had only two owners in its lifetime. It is one of the best-preserved Blast Cities you’ll find, if not the absolute finest in North America.

Highlights & Condition:
* Monitor (Nanao MS2931): Estimated to have fewer than 100 total hours of use, evident by the near-pristine condition and complete lack of dust on the chassis.
* Negative Coin Count Mech: Factory-set below zero for testing and demo purposes, preserving its as-new state.
* Marquee Light: Never used before my ownership. I had to unwrap the original fuse to test and confirm functionality.
* Kick Plate Sticker: Still intact on the front bottom kick plate—a rare sight for a Blast City of any age.
* Includes Dotori-kun test board, original manual, and factory bill of sale receipt—a level of provenance that’s virtually unmatched.

This machine’s history/ provenance can be confirmed by Cereth/Game Saru, a respected name here. It has been meticulously cared for, and the condition truly speaks for itself.

I’ve been an active member of the arcade community, and my character and history as a collector are well known. Numerous forum members can vouch for me, and testimonials are available upon request. For serious buyers, I’m happy to provide additional photos, videos, or even a live FaceTime tour of this incredible cabinet.

Why This Cabinet?
The Sega Blast City is one of the most beloved arcade cabinets of all time, and this particular example is a once-in-a-lifetime find. The combination of its condition, provenance, and complete documentation makes it a true collector’s dream.

Price: $25,000

If you’ve been searching for the perfect Blast City, this is your chance to own what is likely the nicest and most minty unit available anywhere. Don’t miss this opportunity to add a truly exceptional piece to your collection.

Feel free to ask any questions here or via PM. Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to finding the right home for this amazing cabinet!

Can vouch for HUO. A guy in Japan bought it brand-new and it sat in their home all this time, basically never got used. I was told they only turned it on a handful of times. I have one in my own home as well.

So this is documented HUO? I would LOVE to see a receipt from Sega for this, that would be REALLY cool!!!!
Added a pic to the drive folder. As many of you remember these cabinets due to regulation had to be sold as / with a game so the receipt is actually made out for dottori kun- the test board.

I see a QC sheet pic was added, but not any sort of receipt or invoice? Just a "what shipped with your cab" checklist.

Still cool. Here's hoping it finds a good home.

Wow, I hope you get your asking price. It gives me a good feeling that I too might have some serious value in my machine with almost identical/historical specs, however it is a Super Neo 29. Unfortunately I don't have tangible details from production to me other than what the seller told me , but atleast the cabinet speaks for itself. GLWS!

Cool to see one in such minty condition. Good luck with the sale! :)

Ill be the one to ask what everyone is thinking.......what did you use as a basis for comparative analysis of fair market value? I think its a fair question considering the price you are asking.
Good question. You see a lot of huo pins to where a baseline can be established. But vids it is usually extremely rare so most charge whatever they want as when they are listed its usually the only case. Certainly the seller has every right to list whatever they want for a price- high or low.

My butt dyno would put it in the 7-10k range. Run of the mill blasts seem to be in the 2500 range. 2x-3x seems realistic for sure, depends on the buyer and how they view the desirability. The documentation with a serial number matching wold be nice, but we would never know how or what those looked like or if Sega bothered. Clearly it is a. excellent work example.

Id like to see the back, the monitor chassis, coin counter and more things showing off condition. Also, it would be great for documentation purposes. Probably needs rebuilt too to be in top shape (caps etc).

An Astro in similar condition sold for $20k last year on Yahoo Auctions. I’d argue this cabinet is both more popular and less common, especially in this condition. While I’m open to offers, I believe this is a particularly special piece.

Respected techs in SoCal have seen it firsthand and consider it a complete specimen. I’m happy to provide additional documentation, videos, or even a FaceTime call for anyone seriously interested. The backside and the interior monitor chassis are particularly impressive. However, I prefer not to move it around unnecessarily, even just out from the wall, as I take great precautions to care for it. This machine is powered through a step-down converter and has never been exposed to US voltage. It also doesn’t receive direct sunlight, ensuring its condition is well-preserved.
