Hi folks

I'm trying to make a control panel that fits two rows of sanwa OBSF-24KK buttons. These are the general dimensions.

I haven't decided on the material of the control panel since it'll be for a handheld controller and not a cab. Most likely plastic/acryllic

The only thing that gives me pause is that I've never tried to drill a hole for a square button before. Anyone have tips? This doesn't look like something I can do with a hand drill. I'm pretty inexperienced with fabrication in general so any help is appreciated.

If acrylic have someone laser cut the holes? Design the layout in CAD and create a DXF file, pass that on to a fab shop and they should be able to make it for you.

Thanks, both, for the advice!

Looking at the cost of the sheet metal punch, I'm more inclined to look into a fabricating service as recommended by tiff_lee for a quote. I don't see myself needing to make square holes too often, so a one off solution may work.

I guess the next step is to design an enclosure that would fit the pre-cut control panel!
