CPS3 board issue

9C looks like it is working fine
I finally found loose pins on the PPU - quite a few are loose

What is the best way to re-fasten the pins to the board? I do not feel comfortable using my soldering iron
If I have to buy something to do it then that is fine
If there a specific solder I need

Please let me know
Thanks

For fine pitch work like that, you need good flux and proper tips; I prefer either a flat bevel or hoof tip (think BCF2 or BCM2 Hakko tips) but that's what I'm accustomed to, you could probably get away with a conical if the tip is small enough, it'll just be harder to clear away excess solder and prevent bridges.

If you don't have the proper tools or practice, it's really easy to make the situation worse and I'd either suggest getting the right equipment and practicing on a junk board, or getting someone else to do the work.

Sometimes I amaze myself
About 60 pins were loose
Soldered the pins back down and voila
Looks much better

Now I can program my Darksoft simms I just got :)

Did you probe each pin with a pick or something to ensure everything is solidly connected to its corresponding pad?

Looking at the way the colors are all messed up in the color bars, seems like it could be the PPU, not likely to be the DAC or related components. Maybe it's something related to video memory? I am totally spitballing here.

Can you boot a game? What happens if you do?

Yes I checked each pin with a needle to see if it moved - all of them seem connected now
I can boot a game and I can see some moving stuff on the screen but cannot make it out
I also have no sound either :(

Here is a video of booting up dip switch 000 game
