The hardware seems to match the retail Wii very closely, and even uses the same power brick. I know people have been able to get the triforce games running on Wii via the homebrew channel.

Has anyone investigated this system at all? I can barely find any info on it. The few sources I see say Tatsunoko vs Capcom was the only title released, but this unit belonged to an electromechanical hybrid Mario Party game.

Can't help with your question but got one of my own.
What storage medium do games for this platform come on?

Not sure myself. I think the system has 512MB of internal flash memory like the retail Wii, so I think the game software is stored on that.

The unit in that thread is indeed one of the Mario Party coin pusher games, they confirmed it further down in the thread. There's several of those that run on the RVL arcade board. I think TVC was the only "joystick" (lever) based game.

I don't think anyone has done any serious RE work on this platform. The MAME driver (?) has some stuff documented I think.
