here you go!

Why are all these minty Vewlix Daimonds in the US!! X(

i dont know about about minty but Taito sold the last batch of vewlix after its discontinuation. I bought a few from Japan through Osaka dealer.. kept them.
i also have 2 blue diamond vewlix in super goood shape. had them linked so you can play side by side SF4 .. those i can let go at much cheaper price. i just can't keep 4 of them at home.

At one point I had 7, cut it down to 3, but Im thinking of maybe cutting back to 2, so one might be for sale soon.
So far have a NIB Diamond Black, FC, and an Orange. So Im thinking maybe the Orange or the FC have to go on sale.

I think the Diamond Black vewlix will appreciate in value. Taito is not making any more and these are NIB. GLWS

Pardon my ignorance, but is Taito making a new cab in place of these? Or are they getting out of the cab game?

Taito is done making regualr sit down cabs afaik. The arcade scene is dying, there just isn't much need for them. Sad but true.

The Diamond Blacks were firesaled out, a lot of people picked up NIB for pretty cheap prices.

And hardly anyone bothered to hold onto them NIB and this can sell for whatever someone wants to list it for, not trying to throw shade.

exA unveiled the ARC-32 just a month ago. It looks like a Vewlix for all intents and purposes.

(it will also cost more than 5k)

I'm rooting for exA personally.

But they have to do a move like this, because the traditional sit down arcade market is on life support. Games that would have been hot in another era, like Street Fighter 6, are just being played at home, and the Taito hardware to run it is so aging that it can't even handle it well. There's no incentive to upgrade either.

It is what it is. There will remain a market for retro Vewlix stuff. Street Fighter 4 etc, the same way people still want to play ST on Astro Cities. But the game centers for that are becoming increasingly niche. They can make way more money replacing it all with another floor of UFO catchers.

Anyways, not trying to doom and gloom, just giving some context for people who aren't following. The short version is this: if the idea of a brand new Vewlix is a fantasy of yours then buy this, because your opportunities to do it are fading away fast.

The arc-32 look like a chewlix imo. After sf4 the scene died. The vewlixes running sfv were unfortunately all 1p and had nesica server checks. Easier to play console/steam ports with more support. A lot of people gut them out and use brooks boards etc. The numerous multi’ are the saving grace but even those can be played on a pc without needing fancy io and taito hardware.

Like... how much we talkin' for the blues? 😅

I missed out on this when Cereth and KC had a price war. I contacted KC for one since I'm a local but that guy is shady. He told me he sold them all out and I know he didn't. Mofo knew he went too low for $2000 when Cereth asked for $2250. Anyhow, I wouldn't mind getting this but then again, I had a Vewlix Diamond Orange. Since I missed out on this, I decided to get the Vewlix C instead with an upgraded Vewlix 1080p monitor. GLWS.

i visited his warehouse and i bought some chairs to go with vewlix. he certainly does have lots of stuff but as you said, it is not very organized..

I'm broke and out of space. If I have the space and money, man, I would love to jump on this brand-new sealed right away. I know most people are into classic candy cabs like Egret 2 or 3, Astro City, Blast City, mini cute so and so, but for some reason, I have a love for the Vewlix. I just love the design and how it looks overall. It's weird that when I first got into getting an arcade cabinet, the Vewlix was about $5K for a brand new Vewlix and most candy cabs are from $500-$1000 depending on brand and conditions. Now, it's the total opposite. Most of the Egret 2 are selling for an average $5K for a decent condition, not even clean, and here is a brand new Velwix Diamond having a hard time selling for what is virtually what Taito sold back when it was still available on the market. Oh btw, I do have a very clean Atomiswave SD which was my first cabinet and got it for a really really good price. I like that cabinet for my CPS2 games or any other jamma games. I wouldn't be surprised if I decided to sell that and my Vewlix, the Atomiswave probably sell faster and maybe more too. Crazy how the market change in recent years.
