What is the best option for playing Raiden 3/4 on an arcade cabinet with a tri-sync crt monitor in tate?

A real TTX1 with the multi (they don't look great on TTX2)
Could you please elaborate on this? I used to play them on a TTX2 with the 420p switch flipped and both games looked great at 420p 4:3 TATE on a PC CRT.

To answer both questions: Yes you can play them in 480P tate on a TTX2, you can play either the Nesica versions or TTX1 versions. The TTX1 versions when played on TTX2 have some graphical errors, particularly on Raden III. The Nesica versions from what I've heard don't look as sharp in 480P as the TTX1 versions, because of some scaling or filtering issue. I haven't tested this myself (no 31khz CRT cab... yet), but have heard this from others. So you have the choice of graphical errors or unsharp on TTX2.

The best thing to do is simply play them on the original hardware, a real TTX1.

All this isn't to say they're unplayably bad on TTX2. Tony just asked what the best option was. In my mind, best will always be original hardware, but you can absolutely enjoy them on TTX2.

Do the Nesica versions run in TATE as well, or YOKO with the logos on the sides?
