Interest Check: Pre-made upgraded 161-in-1 multicarts - All spots filled - 2025 UPDATE

I'd like a MVS cart with Xeno Crisis, but I think I'm too late to the party. Again... lol

could someone help me with some troubleshooting.

I have a 5v AES. I have tried the following power supplies.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CGR54L81?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D7VN57PY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Triad-Magnetics/WSX050-4000-R13?qs=/1Piqw6iwzs0vzpISU26mg==&countryCode=GB¤cyCode=GBP

The triad shows a pink garbled image using the 161 but works with an original game.

The wefomy boots games when the voltage is set above 5.5 V and below around 5.9 V but often shows garbled graphics. Sometimes games work fine with no glitches in the graphics but this seems random.

The only original game I have is kof 97 which works fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Yea it’s the cart and not the psu..

clean your cart pins
I use deoxit gold …

Clean your mvs cart slot pins also
Use deoxit on stiff card same thickness as the cart finger board. ( don’t bend any pins!)

Hi at all, I know that a summary guide has already been made from @rewrite on how to proceed for the creation of this cartridge, but I fear that the link has disappeared in the middle of everything else, it is possible to pin it in the forum and maybe update it for anyone's understanding want to try your hand at it?
volunteers welcome :) thank you in advance.

I've really wanted to try for some time, but I'm afraid it's really challenging to understand it without a summary done well :) ( I know this is the fear of many enthusiasts like me )

Thanks again to rewrite for taking the first step on this

It's not fully done, but by all means, ask questions and I'll help if possible! @pierpa86

Clean the cart pins with alcohol and a stiff nylon brush, dry it off, use Deoxit. And make sure that the motherboard pins are tight and clean as well. Every cart got tested for 6-8 hours, and then had another testing with video before it went out the door. They're all numbered too, so I could keep track of things. Your box should have a number on it, and worst case there's a number on the PCBs themselves as well for AES, and a discreet marking on the MVS ones on the PCB edge.

Hi re-write ..
Confirming I’m in ..
I have some multi in 1,s
Which is it you want for donor man let me know happy to send
I apparently missed this, but it was in my notifications.

161 in 1 v3's are what are required. 2 donor carts make 1. If you happen to have a bunch, I'd happily buy some from you, or put it against the labor to make yours.

You can tell if you open them up, there will be these little rectangular chips with no pins sitting on daughterboards.

I'm having some trouble with my 2 MVS carts and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

The issue is this - The volume becomes VERY loud for brief periods of time. It actually blew out my OSSC.

I don't believe this is related to the MVS since I have tried the carts with 8 different MVS PCBs that don't exhibit this behavior or any other strange behaviors with any of my other carts (including a stock 161 in 1 v3).

All are running unibios 4.0.

4 of the 8 MVS are running the new patched unibios that allows you to go back to the game menu holding B during soft reboot.

MVS breakdown:

5 MV1C
1 MV1A
1 MV1B
1 MV1FZ

I am supplying 5v - 5.15v and am using Suzo-Happ power supply on HAS supergun.

The easiest way for me to reproduce the issue is to play Eight Man for a few levels. Usually it does it in the first level.

The next easiest is to play Strikers 1945+. By level 3 it has usually done it once or twice.

PM'd you. ID like to be on list for MVS Cart. I dont have donor and would like to add xenon crisis. Will prepay in full if needed to show good faith

Will circle back and add anyone new assuming my source for carts actually comes through, still waiting.

Now that there are more chips available, I'll change my statement to you only need one donor cart, and about $20 for the additional chip! So that's good news.

I've had some no-contact folks, so I'm bumping them further down for now. Going to ask the next ten for payment today. Hoping to keep up a pace of one cart finished per day, roughly at least!
