Saturn 3D pad on Dreamcast

Found these two threads while casually browsing Reddit and was wondering if anybody knew anything about this. It appears to be a fully working Saturn 3D pad for Dreamcast via the detachable part on the 3D pad. The threads are from two years ago and seem to hit dead ends, but I was hoping maybe this could get revived somehow. I'm actually a really big fan of the joystick on the Saturn 3D pad and would love to be able to use it on Dreamcast, especially with games like Jet Set Radio.

If only we could purchase one or at least make one. There's literally no info on it. Looks like someone made a one-off (or a couple?) and never bothered to release the info or put them into production. Maybe I'm a weird one here, but I have a thing for this controller and would absolutely use it all the time on Dreamcast if I could.
