What's new
Very excited bout this. Pretty sure I need one of these as well in my life. But I also hope this leads to finding out if replacement CPUs are possible. As I have a dead board and have not been able to source a NOS cpu for it.
There was a guy on KLOV that has NOS. His username is "hyperneogeo".

Muy emocionado por esto. Estoy bastante seguro de que también necesito uno de estos en mi vida. Pero también espero que esto lleve a descubrir si es posible reemplazar las CPU. Porque tengo una placa muerta y no he podido conseguirle una CPU NOS.
I have one Cpu for sale, if you interested please contact me

Thx for the headsup. Have been looking on KLOV for years for CPUs for sale. However, hyperneogeo is not selling. He is offering a repair service, located in USA. Between the risk of shipping, price of part, repair cost, shipping back and then Danish import taxes on all of that.... I will just continue to look for NOS CPUs or similar. Thx tho.

Hello,

I recently posted on my patron page about the tests conducted on the PCB received earlier this year.
The test were overall conclusive but some issues were present.
I than made a new revision fixing those issues and also replaced the flash memory (again !) as i was able to find a 5V flash memory still in production to this day simplifying the design and reducing the footprint.

It's with great pleasure i can announce everything is working and the final stages of this projet has been reached.
I am now preparing to produce the first production units and the packaging.

Two versions of the IDE adapter will be available.
First the CF version then a bit later the IDE Passthrough version (for those preferring using DoM), combining the two was too tricky and cumbersome.
The CF version will probably come with the CF included.

On a technical side the PCBs are now four layers, a great care have been taken to match length the trace of every parallel buses (IDE and flash memory) and impedance matched.

The picture below are not the final product but it's pretty close, most notable change is the board type selection is now a micro dip switch.

Cheers !

As it's been a bit - I have a KI1 board that I did the "old school" dual bank ram mod - and it runs KI1 and KI2 with a switch perfectly fine. There is no added functionality of this board, right? Trying to see if I have to spend more money... :)
