I bought two empty cabinets form CHINA! I wanted to know if people in my area are interested in buying one.
I bought two because of the insane shipping prices. Its an Orange Chewlix with no monitor no Pandora's box, no amp. Empty Cabinet.
Selling for $950 OBO. If I don't sell it by the end of the month I will just keep it. I wish I could recover some of the cost of my own cabinet.
I am in the Grayslake/Gurnee area.
I just received it yesterday so pictures will be uploaded soon.

Some pictures of the cab. I am currently building mine(Black Cab) and still waiting on parts. Just received them both on Tuesday night (July 9). My cab had some scratches :(seller blaming shipping but it looks like it was done in warehouse. As you may see some YT videos is very common but the orange cab not a scratch :thumbup:. I think the orange color is way better looking than the black cab in my opinion.

Not seeing a lot of interest for an empty cabinet. I will start buying parts to try and sell it as complete cab and try selling it on fb. I think it will be easier to sell it as a complete cab as not many people know how to build em. like I said if I dont sell it I will happily keep it. Just hoping to sell :D.....
 
Consider me interested. I'm just trying to figure out how I would go about building this out. I would make use of the cabinet for console or Mister use, and wouldn't go the jamma route. I've been following a couple threads on here in regards to other's builds but still have plenty of questions.

My experience is in jamma cabs with crt's, but it would be nice to have a more modern setup like this for shmups and newer fighters (KOFXV, SF6, etc.) on the PS4, PS5, and switch.

What types of things have you bought or had experience with to build this out?
 
Hey I took advantage of prime day and bought the monitor and brackets, surge protector, decoders with cables and other stuff to fix the electrical part of things since this Chinese cabinets some times are wired wrong and use cheap parts to build these things and are just a hazard … basically I think the only thing missing are buttons and joysticks
 
I had no experience with these type of cabinets but I had regular cabinets in the past like a Neo Geo and a mame cabinet so I had some idea. Also I used to fix arcade pcbs and did crt re caps in the past
 
I have the cabinet setup for usb but I also have a jamma harness and a fast io setup for a ttx3. A G harness
 
Greetings. First post! I’m in Milwaukee and have had my eye on a vewlix housing for quite some time and have kept my eyes out for opportunities (that might avoid that freight!).

Just yesterday someone nearby posted a used but complete vewlix type c cabinet for roughly what you have this housing listed for. As I’m mostly interested in dropping a pc in and using steam for modern fighters (shmups and beat em ups to a lesser extent), an empty shell would probably be better.

Anyways- I’m interested if it’s still available. Thanks.
 
Thanks for the reply. I already bought all the parts for the cab. Planning on building this week just waiting for some free time to do so. I plan on building and just add the extra cost and try if someone wants it if not I will keep it for awhile and give it away to a family member that wanted it. Dunno. Man I was really looking for an original around the area for a long time but prices where high 3k and up. Reason I went for a clone. If I where you I would buy original if I had the opportunity. Anyway, I will build the cab and see if someone in this forum is interested.

Congratulations on the sell. I am in gurnee as well and was eyeing it for a while, but really want one that's blue like an L ami, so I never pulled the trigger. Glad you were able to get some money
