Has anybofy managed to get this to run sucessfully on your RE unit, i have it booting up and initializing but it stops at the System (ALPB) and just spins , i was wondering if there is anything i can remove add or change to make it run ?

Which Ringedge do you have, and which Shining game are you referring to exactly? There were some Shining Force games that came out on RE 1 and another on RE 2. I’m curious as well if it has to do with Direct X versions, operating systems, etc.

i was using Nikos multi . but its a RE 2
Ok. Blade Arcus. I’ve heard the same. I’m curious if it is an OS or driver issue like Direct X. It’s a game I’ve been trying to find out here in Japan on console. It’s not an easy find!

I found the system requirements on Steam:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • MINIMUM:
    • OS *: Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or faster processor
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: OpenGL 3.1 compliant video card
    • DirectX: Version 9.0c
    • Storage: 4 GB available space
    • Sound Card: DirectSound
    • Additional Notes: Controller recommended
If my memory serves me right, doesn’t Ringedge 1 only have 1gb? As Ringedge is just a pc, I bet upgrading the Ram might be an inexpensive solution. I just got a Ringedge and Ringedge 2 3 weeks ago, but I haven’t had a chance to test them out. However, I do plan to upgrade the ram on both.

Pretty sure I recall it can only run on Ringedge 2 with upgraded ram.
I know it doesn't work on Ringedge 1 regardless.

this is more a hybrid RE1 unit its a it runs DOA5 and VT4 , has 2 GB Ram and a GT640 card, SF does boot , it just gets stuck after the network test on the System(ALPB) test

I'm unsure which game you're talking about due to the couple posts above mine.

If you're talking about Blade Arcus From Shining, it needs Ringedge 2.

If you're talking about any Shining Force games, they don't run. They are online games with extra hardware.

FYI VT4 needs no upgrades to run on RE1.

i was talking about shining Cross Raid , as i said i can get it to run past the checks for i/o network etc , then it gets to the next check and just stays there with the little cursor spining that check been System ALPB check , which is what i am asking what is ALPB ? , i know VT4 runs on a RE1 this is a 2 though with modified drivers so thats why VT4 runs also :-)
