Hi!

I am currently working on refurbishing a pretty run down Mario Kart GP 2.
Speakers are FUBAR, but I could not find any suitable replacements With my google-fu.

Anybody got a good suggestion for a good replacement?

if you're lucky like I was years ago I replaced those same speakers from a mario kart with these Polkaudio speakers from an old HP computer that I had in storage

Pd: I don't remember if the speakers were the same size or a bit smaller

Considering they don't go into any enclosure, I would just buy some slim 6 or 8 ohm speakers and 3D print brackets for them if needed.

Thanks for the reply, but I would need something easier available. The speakers on the other 3 Mario Karts are on their last legs and would be nice to have a spare or two.

Good idea! Don’t have a 3D printer available, but could be a wise investment….

I use mine all the time.

What are the dimensions of the speaker?

I didn’t get to measure the speakers, but was told they where 6” diagonally.
Will do some more detailed measurements and let you know.

So…. Funny coincidence. @nem
Was helping the in-laws with cleaning the attic when I stumbled upon some old Pioneer speakers from a old surround system they bought like 20 years ago.
Decided to open them up just in case it was something I could use for a project…
and damn! What are the odds for a 100% match?!?!?

Speakers from the Pioneer S-DV313 speaker system = 100% matching!

Fun stuff!
All 5 speakers use the same Pioneer A142CU54-52D even though the center is a bit larger. Subwoofer was not usefull for anything I could find.

If you got a Mario Kart GP2 with busted front speakers, I would do a ebay search for Pioneer S-DV314.
