Makvision 27" Tri-Mode Flat CRT Adjusment

Hey guys,
A while back I swapped out the Sanwa monitor in my Tekken 5 due to burn in. I grabbed a brand new Makvision 27" Tri flats CRT as there were still some new/old stock floating around. The fitment into the cabinet was great. Looks nice and the colors are vivid and crisp. My main issue is the geometry is a NIGHTMARE. I have heard Flat CRT's can struggle with this. Does anyone have one of these and have any tips on adjusting this better? No matter what I do the lines are just never as straight as they should be. I am starting to feel like there is no perfect for these things and the goal is just to get them adjusted "pretty good". I am no where near an expert with monitors but I have multiple cabinets and have never had this much trouble with other monitors as I do with these. Thank you for your help.

I no longer have a weiya/makvision, and they are not great, but no where near this bad.

There are settings you can mess with and I think the TS had a digital setting with a hidden extra settings (google for it). It's "bad" as in no line is perfect on these, but what you have is way, way, way beyond this. For example on my old TS I had one line that was maybe half an inch off that I had to work to get back in line with the other colors (it was a blue), but that's about it.

Can't find in on those settings. This is the remote board I am using. Can I use a different one that would allow me to adjust some of the geometry? Should I just buy some magnets?

You should have more adjustment pots on the chassis.

That top right looks like bad convergence though, magnets might fix that.

I'd check to see if any got shifted around on you move first, they might just be moved slightly.

When I work on mine I get the geometry as good as I can towards the middle of the screen, correct tilt and trap. I then use magnets as needed towards the edges to get the proper shape.

This is exactly why I went towards VGA monitors with a line doubler for everything. Even garbage tier VGA CRTs have great geometry.

Thanks for the advice, that makes sense. When I bought this Tekken 5 the stock Sanwa monitor had a decent amount of burn-in. I didn't feel like I had many options. The 27" Sanwa's aren't easy to find none the less a good one with no burn. I figured the brand new Makvision would be at least close to as good as another used/worn Sanwa I may find. I didn't see many other 27" flat options that would fit.
