Since there's no clear documentation of where to do things all in one place, I'm gonna leave all this here for notes.
I recently acquired a "Kung Fu Master Jackie Chan" Kaneko arcade board not too long ago. (The first Jackie Chan game)
The goal was to upgrade it to get the "ultimate version" of this title.

This version offers :
Jackie Chan selectable characters
Different colored characters
Chainable mechanics
Hitting opponents while down/stunned
Universal overheads
Improved character / specific juggles

Let's get started...

Download a "Jchan2.zip" MAME rom of "JC Fists of Fire"
Open it up and extract the following files...

In case the thumbnail goes Bye-Bye...
j2d1x1.u13
j2g1x1.164
j2g1x2.165
j2m1x1.u56
j2p1x1.u67
j2p1x2.u68
j2p1x3.u69
j2p1x4.u70
j2p1x5.u86
j2p1x6.u87

Gather up and burn the following 10 32-pin EPROMs for the UXXX files...
I have a paltry Top3000 programmer so any known good programmer will do the trick.

EPROMs:
Location Rom Type (Rom Equiv)
---------------------------------
U164 27C040 (27C4001)
U165 27C040 (27C4001)
U13 27C010 (27C1001)
U56 27C020 (27C2001)
U67 27C040 (27C4001)
U68 27C040 (27C4001)
U69 27C040 (27C4001)
U70 27C040 (27C4001)
U86 27C040 (27C4001)
U87 27C040 (27C4001)

NOTE: The U164 and U165 roms in MAME list them as 27C2001 EPROMs.
If you burn roms using 27C2001 EPROMs, you will have sprite corruption with the title screen and some character effects.
Changing them to 27C4001/27C040 remedies this memory addressing problem.

Slot them into the screen-printed location on your PCB.

This is a 4 button game, you'll need a kick harness ran to the 8-pin connector if you're running a 3 button jamma harness.
While yer at it, make a Stereo pigtail for the 4-pin connector.

Fire up the game, and enjoy your fiery fists of Jackie Chan.
Arguably one of the most legit low-key arcade fighters out there.

If there's anything I'm missing, please let me know and I'll correct the detail.
