Killer Instinct 2 Pcb Black Screen

My Killer Instinct 2 circuit board is defective. Need help. I got a Ki 2 board that should actually work. There was a converted hard drive with power connection, sound, etc. Screen was blue,then Red with Danger Danger Sound. I ordered a new SSD kit with Rom. Now there is only a black screen. Can anyone help me? Fan turns... Pcb comes Black Screen.With and Without Ssd

Screen black you can only hear a loud humming/whirring sound and no Red Led

Did the game ever run with your setup? Do you have another SuperGun/MAK than the ArcadeForge one you could try? I have a "Mace the Dark Age" pcb (like KI a Midway/Atari board) which doesn't run with the Arcade forge SuperGun/MAK but works on a different setup (missing -5v maybe)

I resoldered the CPU. Now there's a picture and sound and it shows Fulgore in the opening credits then it always goes into the test menu. I've already tried 2 superguns, no change. What's going on?

why did you resolder the cpu?

Because a black screen issue (along with most non dead HDD issues on KI boards) is almost always a CPU coming loose from the board

Check your DIP switches? Test mode might be on or the line could be triggered incorrectly

Also check the pin on the JAMMA edge for the test menu - it could again be getting triggered incorrectly
