Trying to get The House of the Dead working

Thanks for your reply. The connector/cable hasn't been the problem for me, I made the cable with the right connectors to feed it to my monitor. The thing is I don't get any image. When I look at the R, G and B lines with a voltmeter they all measure a steady 4.9V and the sync is a constant 1.5V...

Trying to get The House of the Dead working

Unfortunately not, though its slightly reassuring to know I'm not the only one. I've just moved country and all my stuff won't arrive for another few months but once it does I've another Model 2 on its way to me (Virtua Cop 2). I'll see if I can get that working fine and hopefully it'll help...

Trying to get The House of the Dead working

I took the gamble, made a cable and plugged it in to the monitor. Nothing went up in smoke but the screen kept displaying "no input detected" (other than a flicker when I powered up THOTD). I guess it's not surprising as when I looked at the sync signal with an oscilloscope it just showed a...

Trying to get The House of the Dead working

I have a House of the Dead (1) board and I'm trying to get it all hooked up. I asked last week in the worrying bomb thread but no luck, I'm hoping someone will see it here. Since then I've spoken to someone who knows more about electronics than me but I'm still in the dark. I have a tri sync...

Sega Model 2/3 A/B/C - CRX and how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb.

Setting up my House of the Dead (1) board. I now have it receiving power (leds are lighting up) and thanks to people here I have the correct connectors to get going with the rest. I want to start with the video connection. I tested the voltage on the R, G and B pins and they're coming out at...

Sega Model 2/3 A/B/C - CRX and how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb.

Thank you both that's brilliant. @Woodpross3r (ConversusWV) thanks, yeah it looks like it's brand new. I got it from a guy in Spain who used to travel to Japan looking for near mint boards/full cabinets.

Sega Model 2/3 A/B/C - CRX and how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb.

I've recently got first The House of the Dead (Model 2) and I'm trying to get it hooked up. Could someone tell me what these connectors are called? The power connector is different (far left of the second photo) but I chopped that off and replaced it with a standard power supply molex...

Wells Gardner D9400 sync select jumper

On the back of this monitor it says Sync Select (P004/J004) Interlaced Standard With corresponding jumper positions next to interlaced and standard. I assumed that meant if I fed it 240p or 480i I would need the jumper in the interlaced position, and 480p (or 800x600 if I had something that...

General help (setting up a Wells Gardner PD279400)

duffcon thank you so much! That's a huge amount of help, I'm in a lot better position now. And that final link- they have the crimpers (including the connectors) cheaper than loads of googling ever found. Thank you thank you

General help (setting up a Wells Gardner PD279400)

I found at least the answer to my first question, I think it's a Molex KK 396. Annoyingly the crimpers are really expensive. I guess I can get the solder type connectors though people seem to recommend crimping over soldering.

General help (setting up a Wells Gardner PD279400)

I have my first arcade monitor which I'm looking forward to using but I'm quite ignorant on how to get it connected, both power and video. I plan to get some arcade boards but initially it'll just be with my consoles. I have a lot of questions, if you can just answer 1 or 2 please do, or all of...

Axun Workshop - JVS / JAMMA Control-Box(CBOX) SuperGun

I'm new to arcade boards so please excuse my ignorance... I have a tri sync monitor on its way to me and, as well as my consoles, I really want some real arcade games to play on it. My research for a supergun has led me here- I love the fact that this is a nicely designed all in one with power...
