MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Did some more testing and can confirm that all 15kHz INI files exhibit this bug/issue. I might capture a video of it off the HDMI. This is a major bummer because it's the only arcade game that seems to have this issue and, ironically, is the main game I was planning on running in my Big Blue...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

After some more experimenting, I think the issue relates to the MiSTer.ini file. I went through a fresh install/format of my SD card and did the entire setup up until adding the MiSTer.ini (for my 15kHz arcade CRT). Connected via HDMI, I was able to load SSF2T perfectly fine 10 times in a row...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Upon further research, it looks like I'm not the only one to experience this. https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3763

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

No luck. Tried a different microSD card (32GB rather than 64GB - both SanDisk) and still got the glitches. First couple times it loaded fine, but then on the third load the same exact glitches appeared. Again, this is only on Super Street Fighter 2 and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. All other...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Just ran the memtest for 90 minutes with no errors. Still doing the same thing with SSF2T. Going to try a different, smaller microSD card next.

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Has anyone come across cores that load all glitchy and whatnot? My Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (and new challengers) seem to load really glitchy with artifacts and flickering. I'd say they load this way 75%-80% of the time. It doesn't happen all of the time, but most of the time. The odd thing...

DARKSOFT CPS2 Champion Multi: Instructions and tips (new Version after 10.2020)

Thanks for the responses. So just to verify, with my blue B board (with the multi installed), I can use USA or Japan (since they use the same connectors)?

DARKSOFT CPS2 Champion Multi: Instructions and tips (new Version after 10.2020)

Hey guys - quick question: Does the multi still require the A and B boards match regions? For example, I have a blue USA B-board that I am planning to install the kit on. Does that still require I use a USA A-board as well, or can I use any region A board? Thanks and sorry if this has been...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Quick update: I fixed my issue by adding diodes in-line on all of the kick harness buttons. Now all buttons work flawlessly with Mister when both kick harnesses are connected to the boards. Just FYI for anyone else that may run into this.

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Are you running both on a JAMMA switcher, or do you manually switch between the Mistercade and your CPS2 board (I.E. swapping the JAMMA/kick harness from one to the other)?

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

I'm not sure. @misteraddons thinks it has to do with the signal being split down to a level where the microcontroller doesn’t detect button presses. I've seen people mention adding diodes in line for each of the kick buttons to fix problems with multiple harnesses tied together, but I'm not sure...

MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

I've got an interesting issue. I've got both the MisterCade and another JAMMA board (Marvel Super Hereos) in the same cabinet on a switcher. Both require kick harnesses so I ran two separate ones tied to the same buttons. (MSH is using a CPS2 kick harness and I'm using a CPS1 kick harness in the...

SOLD CPS2 stuff ( super turbo and A boards)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm good on this - I used velcro straps and they've been doing the tricky nicely :)

    WTB CPS2 board clips/clamps

We're on the same wavelength. Right before I read this, I was thinking long, heavy duty velcro straps or zip ties.

Thanks! Yeah, I came across the old threads with the same link, but saw they were sold out. Guess I can wait. For now, I'll improvise!

    WTB CPS2 board clips/clamps

Prior to the kit, my Marvel Super Heros board(s) ran solid without much fuss. After the kit, it took me lots of finesse to get things to boot properly. If things aren't JUUUUST perfect, it'll boot to garbage. Granted, now that things are in place, it's working fine, but I rarely had that happen...

    WTB CPS2 board clips/clamps

Hello! I'm looking for a set of clips/clamps that hold the CPS2 A+B board together. I didn't realize how sensitive the Darksoft Multi is and could definitely use these for better reliability! :) Thanks! -Jim

    WTB CPS2 Digital AV kit

I actually decided to pass on buying his kit as I was able to use my Splitfire/OSSC setup instead. The price you had listed your kit for originally ($120) was about what I was going to offer, but that wasn't remotely close to what he wanted for it.
