Battery is still at 2.9v in the cart, CD drive spins but nothing happens on the screen.

Tried cleaning the cart edge, no difference. Voltage level is good all the way to the CD rom drive. I just get a black screen.

I keep seeing people talk about converting the cart to a "Superbios". Would that fix this problem?

Thanks for any help

If you power it on without a cartridge inserted, does anything happen?

I think the cart battery should be 3.0V, so it's possible (likely?) that the cartridge is dead. Super/UltraBIOS should definitely fix the problem, assuming that the only issue with the setup is a security cartridge with lost encryption keys.

EDIT: Black screen with a cart inserted does usually indicate that the board is working but the cartridge's battery has probably fallen below the required voltage threshold to maintain the encryption keys. Replacing the BIOS should fix it.
