Hi,

As part of my introduction to PGM gaming, I have received a board that does not boot :(

At first, I was able to play a few games, despite having very harsh sound (guess the volume wheel needs replacement), but after 1 hour I started having trouble to boot games to the point that no game was working at all.

I then tried booting the board without any game, but the only thing I got was a "Resource Error" (kindly see attached photo). Sometimes I also get the garbled screen with no text.

I have visually inspected the board (not an expert) and everything seems to be ok with the exception of some corrosion on the back side of the board next to C2.

Happy to hear your thoughts on this...

Cheers

Hi,

Here are some pictures to help with the troubleshooting...

I've attached photos of the front and back of the board, as well as a zoom in on the section with the corrosion (this is masked as C2 on the flip side).

Overall, solder points seem to be quite dry (to my untrained eye)... would it help if I re-solder all of the points? Is there any specific part I should start with given the error I'm receiving?

Thanks
