Hello, I got this lot of 3 Namco System 147 pcbs with some extra parts. I don’t know what game it is and how to set them up to play them. If anyone knows anything about them, please let me know!

Anyone has a manual or know where these parts came from? The listing wasn’t very specific and I didn’t get a response from the seller, all parts were listed working however.

Ok,I tried hooking up the included ruler pcb and this is the screen I get. I’m not sure what it says…

Any luck with these in the end? Looks like you might have an undumped game there?

Stumbled on this whilst trying to find out what Animal Kaizen runs on - board in the manual looks a lot like this one

Haven’t figured it out yet unfortunately :( I’ll take a look at that suggested arcade manual though.

I checked the manual and unfortunately, it doesn’t look like a match, the I/O boards are different and I only have one 147 PCB which is from 2007, the other two are 148 pcbs from 2010. That game is using a 147 pcb though, I didn’t know that :D

Edit: on second thought, it might be however, like I said before, my set came with different I/O boards and the ruler pcb not mentioned in the Animal Kaiser manual.

Thanks for confirming! Does your 147 PCB have a CF card slot anywhere? The manual for Animal Kaiser does seem to mention one, but I can't see it from your pictures.

Do the boards do anything else when you boot them up? Any sort of loading screens other than what it shown?

Do you know if they are JVS? There is a USB looking connector on the front - maybe if you can confirm it's JVS and plugged in an IO you'd be able to navigate to a test menu which might explain what game it is?

I didn't even know a 148 existed! Very exciting

The 147 and 148 don’t have a CF card slot, one of them actually have a different boot screen and runs in 240p,the other two are the same and run in 480p. But they all say the same “Ruler PCB not found” error. The USB isn’t for JVS as these use something else. That usb is used for power as it has 5V and from what I know, JVS doesn’t supply 5v. I also tried plugging a JVS pcb through the USB port and nothing happened. I also didn’t know that the Namco system 148 was a thing.

I will say that the lot also came with some power supplies and audio amps. The power supplies are 24v DC and 12v DC. I actually got 4 pcbs, two 147s and two 148s however one of the 147s was damaged but I would like to donate that one so it can get dumped or something like that :)

Hi; can you do better resolution pictures of the 147/148 boards ? So we can see the chipsets numbers. Thanks !
Could your game be "Medal no tatsujin" ? (as it asks for a "ruler pcb")
