replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

I am not sure if 5.2 works, have you tried a different microsd card? A smaller size one, 2gb or less?

Multi CPS 2 Multi lcd screen button fix

Super glue won't hold it for long if at all unfortunately. Desoldering is the only way. I do not know how much a replacement lcd selector would cost - maybe Mitsurugi or Darksoft can hook you up with a new one. Anyone in your local area that might be able to help you with the desoldering?

Multi CPS 2 Multi lcd screen button fix

There's plenty of room to work around each leg of the buttons. Although it depends on if you have the right desoldering equipment but a simple solder sucker or desoldering braid and lots of flux should help. You can also add some new solder to each leg first to help. Try it on a leg without any...

Multi CPS 2 Multi lcd screen button fix

I got a whole box full from amazon. I think I used either 6x6x14H or 6*6*15H, doesn't matter which one. Probably the taller the better so the button can reach out further from the case. My kit years ago came with a broken/snapped off up switch.

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

I use version 5.0a from https://itead.cc/product/scsi2sd/. Upgraded the firmware to the latest and followed instructions from a few posts up. It worked for me. I am not sure about version 5.2 unfortunately.

Multi CPS 2 Multi lcd screen button fix

My lcd selector is below, on the back I have marked in green the trace that is responsible for the select button. You can solder a wire between the two end points and the button should work.

You have to update the firmware first I think before the save settings will work.

Key Writing Cable - Old Darksoft Kit

Please verify your multi kit version before doing anything, but if it is the older kit then follow the PDF install instructions from there https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/cps2-multikit-instructions-and-videos-old-version-till-10-2020.21/ and I think it starts at around page 10 of the...

    CPS2 HDMI Kits

I got mine from videogameperfection. They restock it often.... I guess before all of this silicon shortage. They are still your best bet and shipping price is fair and fast.

DARKSOFT New CPSIII Ultra Simms! 8 times the size of a regular SIMM

I swapped out the fan on cps2 and thought it was broken after turning back on.... so quiet.... lol Anyway, I am not sure I need the ultra simms (right now) due to the scsi2sd. 45 minute load time is doable as a practice of patience while I save up money for the ultra simms.

replacing scsi cd-rom drive with scsi sd card adapter?

Got my scsi2sd working today as well, version 5.0a from ITEAD. It gave me a lot of trouble. The settings wouldn't save until I upgraded the firmware from 4.4 to 4.8 (latest as of 3/26/2021). Did the settings as everyone has said in the above posts (enabled parity, disabled 5.1 terminator...

Tekken Tag Tournament / Namco System 12 - Recap, Repair, Restore

I am currently trying to fix a dead (no video/audio) Tekken Tag board. I tried swapping the cpu board with a working one from Tekken 3 but no change. I wonder if the battery needs to be removed before it will accept a different cpu board. I will try recapping the Tag board.

    InfiniKey-CPS2

Infinikey is miraculous. I removed the stock maxell battery from my working Xmen COTA USA and soldered on the infinikey. No more worries about leaky batteries or changing batteries ever again. Great hardware design and simple to use! I actually bought a replacement battery a few years back but...
