Like I said above, I determined the issue was in the multi and moved the thread to the appropriate place (https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...o-fixing-your-cps2-multi-kit.7442/post-387478) . I fixed it by replacing the faulty buffer.

Huzzah! Swapping that one chip fixed it! I have nine spares for if this issue pops up again, but for now, if it aint broke, not gonna fix it. :) Thanks yall!

Oh I've done it successfully, I just don't like it. lol These boards at least don't have a bunch of electrolytics to heat up and pop anyway, and if I'm removing chips that are malfunctioning anyway no risk overheating them and killing them.... But yeah, I still don't like hot air. I got both of...

Thanks for the idea! I tried that again and no change... But then I maybe made a breakthrough. Found that with one of the buffer chips (circled in red), if I pressed on it, the glitches shifted... So, I swapped it for another neighboring buffer chip (circled in yellow). Not easy working those...

I reflowed them and it changed. Not fixed, but better. So I think you're spot on. Any good ideas on narrowing down which buffer failed? Swapping 1 seems tricky. Swapping 14 seems daunting.

I have this same problem, except when I try the fix (that I've seen posted many places) I still only get audio from one side (left).

Was setting up a potential order of these Gerber on PCBway, and I got an email with this message: "Thank you so much for order on pcbway.com. Noticed you need golden finger and beveling. But, the minimum size for beveling is 45mm. Please kindly note. Thanks." Anybody else have issues getting...

Are the gerbers linked above the most current version now? Also, there are suggested parts in the main post for most of this, but what about the jamma edge connector? Is there one folks recommend? And/Or, is there someone with one built or in production that's going to be selling these?
