    Replacement Naomi Fans?!

You could cut the wires on both the new and old fans and solder them together or you can repin your new fans, which is what I did: -Note the color order on the old Naomi fan connector (cpu) -remove the pinned cables from both connectors: use a safety pin or a very small piece of metal to pry...

HoTD 2 Cab - Naomi not Booting

If I go that route, is there a term I can search to make sure I find the right Naomi? (Assuming I need the first revision of Naomi in the metal case?

HoTD 2 Cab - Naomi not Booting

Hi Everyone, I've been reading some of the repair logs on Naomi 1's but haven't been able to identify my issue. Hoping for some suggestions of what to do. Issue: House of The Dead 2 Cabinet with Naomi, will not boot. Black screen, no sound, no start button lights. Other info: Game was...

    Replacement Naomi Fans?!

Found this thread while fixing up a noisy Naomi 1. The advice was spot on for the case fan, for the CPU fan I went with a 45mm fan https://a.co/d/4DFd7vL (Used the old fan connector to rearrange the red/black cables as necessary) The screws for the CPU mount are 2.5mm thread, I recommend...

Weche 'Ok Baby' Arcade Cabinet Restoration

Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! Life intervened for a bit on this project, but I wanted to come back and provide an update. First things first, with the help of some folks in the monitor support thread, I got the picture fixed on the chassis with a judicious replacement of a capacitor...

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

I ordered an exact replacement for the C907 cap that was present. It was a 4.7uf 100v. P.S. I did order a isolation transformer to add to the power supply setup and I will remove the mystery capacitor from the solder side of the chassis in the future when I replace multiple caps.

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

So that first link I reviewed 4 times, don't see a C322, this site here doesn't list a C322 for that model: http://macros-arcade.com/monitor-capacitor-kit-listings/ The 825HR & 826HR have C322 as 100uF 16v : Neither match the out of box capacitor, but 16v is consistent between the Wei ya...

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

So the capacitor came in for the horizontal pot and I wanted to share some pics of the board for some opinions: Bottom of chassis: This jumped out at me, should that blue capacitor be here on the bottom side??? (100uF v50) Topside to that blue one, at C322 is this capacitor: (220uF v16)...

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

Updated thread title since the chassis has been ID'd. I'll look at ordering a isolation transformer and probably a line filter as well. One interesting thing I found today was a thread on another forum with the same chassis and same.issues with horizontalwidth and pincushion...

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

I actually grabbed this pic from a different OK Baby thread, but its the exact same board. I'll need to pop the CRT out of the CAB again this evening to dissassemble the chassis mount to look at the bottom for anything that stands out.

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

Pulled the CRT out of the cab again today. One of the fuses blew again (F802 , the same one I found blown when first getting started on restoring the cab). Replaced it with a spare and the monitor came back on, in its previously performing state. I'm guessing this means there's a (intermittent)...

Weche 'Ok Baby' Arcade Cabinet Restoration

The chassis is a generic one from China, as far as I can tell. Can't find any info online by searching model numbers. The cab did not have a isolation transformer when it arrived. It also didn't have a ground wire on the incoming power cord. It had a janky-looking wiring setup, that could have...

Ok Baby - Monitor Issues: H. Width and Pincushion

Hi Everyone, Definitely in a bit over my head on this one. I am restoring an Ok Baby cabinet I bought from auction and things were going well. I had it up and running and the monitor was good but with a few issues: Horizontal Width Pot - barely shrinks picture, still goes over the edges...

Getting close or so I thought... it's wiring time: 1st up - the unsafe power plug on the back Added a 3-prong, fused plugin I cut some scrap wood for seating pcb's and the power supply. There's a 3 outlet power strip I added for the monitor and potentially an amplifier. Test and Service...

Weche 'Ok Baby' Arcade Cabinet Restoration

Fair enough, I keep trying different settings on my Pi 400 trying to get it to work with the JPAC but so far no dice on getting an image. I'm currently shopping for a PCB that won't break the bank.
